Azerbaijanâ€™s fiscal revenue down 2.2%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget revenue was AZN 6.5 billion for January-August, down 2.2% from a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, the budget expenditure reached AZN 5.9 billion, up 0.5% from a year ago. Budget surplus made AZN 677.7 million, accounting for 3.3% of GDP.

Tax incomes came 43.8% from VAT, 25.7% from corporate profit tax, 13% from income tax, 5.8% from excise tax and 5.4% from foreign economic activities.

Expenditure went 42.9% to investments in the national economy, 12.4% to social protection and security and 16% to education and healthcare.

Salaries earned by the population accounted for 31.6% of the total expenditure.
