Clashes have erupted between protesters and police in the French city of Lyon, APA reports.
Police used tear gas to disperse demonstrators.
According to reports, police used tear gas against approximately 150 protesters who attempted to briefly block a road near the center of Lyon. Demonstrations are prohibited in that area.
The protests in France are related to rising living costs, problems with public services, and difficulties in the education sector. Authorities have stepped up security measures to prevent a recurrence of the unrest that occurred during demonstrations last week.
According to French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez, 70,000 police officers were mobilized across the country on October 24. Restrictions on demonstrations have been imposed in several cities.
