Economic Research Center: Azerbaijan logs 0.12% inflation in September

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Consumer Price Index rose by 0.12 percent in Azerbaijan, including 0.26 percent in Baku while dropped 0.02 percent in regions during Septembert, according to the Economic Research Centerâ€™s report based on the Alternative Inflation Methodology Development Project.

The report is based on surveys on goods and services in 11 regions of the country.

Prices of non-foods (0.91 percent) and services (0.17 percent) increased but prices of foodstuffs dropped by 0.29 percent.

According to statistics, the consumer prices change was 1.84% deflation for January-September and 3.52% deflation as against September 2008.
