Unibank sees sharp decline in profit

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of October 1, Azerbaijan-based UniBank posted its assets at AZN 345.042 million, down 26.2% from a year ago.

Deposit portfolio dropped by 12% to AZN 98.526 million, loan portfolio fell by 31% to AZN 239.709 million, consumer loans declined by 33.7% to AZN 99.062 million while total equity capital went up by 17.3% to AZN 75.207 million and authorized capital stock increased by 55.4% to AZN 42.076 million.

As against a year ago, revenue decreased by 30.8% to AZN 41.382 million and expenditure dropped by 25.8% to AZN 38.569 million.

Profit fell by 280% to AZN 2.813 million and net profit dropped by 270% to AZN 1.194 million.

The bank established 2 branches and 6 ATMS over the past one year.

The number of bank staff decreased by 3.4% to 537 and average salary fell by 10% to AZN 1 090.
