EBRD to finance new projects in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-ECONOMICS. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to finance several new projects in the financial sector of Azerbaijan next year, said Francis Delaey, head of the EBRD office in Baku.

The Bank intends to finance 10 projects and take part in a major corporate project in Azerbaijan in 2010, he added.

According to him, the Bankâ€™s current portfolio for Azerbaijan is $911 million.

The EBRD has contributed $1.5 billion to 110 projects in Azerbaijan since its membership in 1992.
