Azerbaijanâ€™s fiscal revenue down 5.6%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget revenue was AZN 5.7 billion for January-July, down 5.6% from AZN 6.04 billion a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, the budget expenditure reached AZN 5.3 billion, up 3.3% from a year ago. Budget surplus made AZN 432.7 million, accounting for 2.5% of GDP.

Tax incomes came 43.5% from VAT, 26.8% from corporate profit tax, 12.9% from income tax, 5.4% from excise tax and 5.2% from foreign economic activities.

Expenditure went 42.9% to investments in the national economy, 11.7% to social protection and security and 16.7% to education and healthcare.

Salaries earned by the population accounted for 31.5% of the total expenditure.
