Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Since the restart of state-funded mortgage lending in Azerbaijan in June, Unibank has lent mortgage loans to 73 of 102 applicants.
As at August 1, mortgage loans approved by the UniBank through refinancing by the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AMF) stood at AZN 3 million, one of the best performances among AMF bank agents.
The average loan went for 293 months, the average borrower was 31 year-old and the average apartment price was over AZN 41 000.
â€We are pleased with the first months of mortgage lending through the AIF because we managed to achieve almost all of the tasks. Given that we spent much time on organizational issues and lending methods, we are capable of doubling the mortgage portfolio,†said Faig Zeynalov, retail-service officer at Unibank.
