Global financial crisis cost $10 trillion, IMF says

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The global financial crisis has cost over 10 trillion dollars to the taxpayers from around the world, according to the International Monetary Fund.
IMF data shows that the industrialized countries allocated a total of USD 9,2 trillion in order to prop up their financial and banking institutions.
The "new economies" allocated another USD 1,6 T for this purpose. A total of USD 1,9 trillion were paid directly as bailout aid, and the rest were provided in the form of loans and state guarantees.
