Japan unemployment goes to 5.4% in June

Baku -APA-Economics. The government says Japan’s unemployment rate has risen to a six-year high of 5.4 percent in June.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications says in a monthly report that the country’s jobless rate worsened from 5.2 percent in April.
The unemployment rate last hit 5.4 percent in June 2003. It hit a record 5.5 percent in May 2003.
The total number of jobless in June jumped 31 percent from a year earlier to 3.48 million. Those with employment fell 2.3 percent to 63 million. Source: BusinessWeek.
