Short-term loans grow in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of July 1, short-term lending grew by 14% and long-term lending increased by 0.4%, as compared to the same period last year, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The portion of short-term loans went up by 2.8 points to 32.8% of the loan book.

94.7% of short-term loans were lent by banks and the rest by non-bank lending institutions.

The banks’ share in lending long-term loans was 98.5%. International Bank of Azerbaijan lent 44.7% of long-term loans.
