Kapital Bank sees a 25% rise in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. As of July, Azerbaijan-based Kapital Bank has posted its assets at AZN 356.653 million, up 24.8% from a year ago.

Deposit portfolio increased by 3.8% to AZN 198.642 million, total equity capital jumped by 91% to AZN 78.1 million and authorized capital stock stood at AZN 24 million, said the bank.
Revenue increased by 13.4% to AZN 29.973 million and expenditure rose by 5% to AZN 22.136 million. Profit went up 47% to AZN 7.837 million.
The bank established 1 branch and 50 ATMs over the past year. Average staff salary increased by 77% to AZN 540 and the number of staff increased by 2.4% to 2 261.
The bank declined to release figures for loans and deposits.
Kapital Bank has been in operation since 2000. The bank operates 88 branches, 312ATMs and 480 POS terminals at present.

After privatization, Kapital Bank is owned by AtaHolding (30%), Pasha Holding (30%), Khalg Sighorta (15%), Azersun Holding (10%), individuals (10%) and the bank staff (5%).
