Azerbaijan sees bank deposits increase

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of July 1, deposits in Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 1 934.3 million, up 16.4% from the same period last year.

According to statistics, deposits declined by AZN 131 million during the first quarter but increased by AZN 93.1 million in April, AZN 47.1 million in May and AZN 21.4 million in June.

The increase in deposits reached AZN 30.6 million in the first half of 2009.
