Loan lending grow in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s banking system has saw a 4.5% rise in loan lending during June to AZN 6 463.8 million, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Of this, 97.3% was lent by banks and 2.7% by non-bank lending institutions.

At the same time, lending to the private sector increased by 4.6% year-on-year to AZN 5 877.6 million or 90.9% of the total lending.

Loans taken out by individuals and trade and service providers prevail in the portfolio.
