Azeri banks see total equity capital up

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. As of July 1, Azerbaijan-based commercial banksâ€™ total equity capital stood at AZN 1 651.4 million, up 32.2% from the same period last year, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

According to the statistics, the banksâ€™ total capital grew by 10.7% during the first half of this year due to the fact that capitalisation was not halted although there were a decline in assets, loan books and deposits.
