Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign trade turnover reaches $6 853,3 mln in first half-year

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan reached $6 853,3 mln foreign trade turnover with 120 countries in January-May, 2009, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

There were $ 4 591,3 mln export and $2 262 mln import operations and $2 329,3 mln positive account balance in the trade turnover.

19.8% of import-export operations accrued to Italy, 8.5% - Russia, 8.4% - USA, 7.3% - France, 5.4% - Israel, 4.9% -Turkey, 3.9% - Germany.

88.1% of the commodity exchanges, as well as 91.3% of export and 81.7% of import operations were carried out by hard currency contracts.
