Hungaryâ€™s OTP Bank to develop negotiations for UniBank shares next year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguliyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s UniBank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank expected to realize sale of its shares to Hungaryâ€™s OTP Bank next year, chairman of the bankâ€™s Observing Council Eldar Garibov told APA-Economics.

The sides had preliminary talks, but it was delayed because of world financial crisis. OTP Bank proposes to buy 51 percent of UniBank shares, but the shareholders didnâ€™t accept its proposal and the negotiations were postponed.

Garibov said both sides are interested in the solution of this issue. The negotiations are planned to be continued early next year after the reducing of world financial crisisâ€™ impact.
