AzfinansBank to open its first branches next month

Baku. Elnur Guseynguluev - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Azfinansbank will launch its first branches in July, said Murad Guliyev, Chairman of the Board.

According to him, the two branches will be opened in Baku and Gabala.

Paperwork is being prepared and submitted to the Central Bank to get approval, he added.

The bank also plans to set up several branches by the end of this year, he noted.

Azfinansbank was issued a license by the Central Bank on 30 November 2008 and launched operation in April.

As of 1 April 2009, assets stood at AZN 10.563 million, deposit portfolio at AZN 0,282 million, total capital at AZN 9.762 million including the authorized capital stock at AZN 10 million.
