The bank said in its latest Global Development Finance report that in 6 developing countries in Europe and Central Asian region will see growth while 13 will see recession in 2009.
Uzbekistan (4.5%) will enjoy the fastest growth and Latvia will suffer the worst economic recession (-13%) in the region in 2009.
Azerbaijan will lead the CIS countries for growth in 2010 and further consolidate its position in 2011.
