Azerbaijan posts 18.5% year-on-year rise in personal income

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. The total income earned by Azerbaijani population during January-May stood at AZN 8.6 billion, up 18.5% on a year ago.

The State Statistical Committee said earnings per capita on month reached AZN 994.8 or $1 237.3 on average, up 17.1% on a year earlier.

Of this, people used 67.2% for consumption expenses, 10.5% for taxes, social insurance and voluntary membership dues and 22.3% for increasing savings and capitals. The populationâ€™s net income after taxes, compulsory charges and voluntary membership dues stood at AZN 7.7 million in total, up 19.1 on a year earlier.
