Baku hosts one-day forum â€œGlobal Financial Crisis Risk Managementâ€

Baku. Elnur Huseynguliyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan Central Bank and Azerbaijan Banking Education Center have organized one-day forum â€œGlobal Financial Crisis Risk Managementâ€ in Baku on Saturday.

According to APA-Economics, officials of the Azerbaijan Central Bank, commercial banks and audit committees, USAID Baku Office, International Risk Professionals Association, FRSGlobal Company of Switzerland, International Monetary Corporationâ€™s corporative management project, Azerbaijan Risk Professionals Association attended the forum.

Director of Azerbaijan Banking Education Center Javanshir Abdullayev said they aimed to discuss the problems created by the global financial crisis in Azerbaijan. They organized unofficial discussions between the regulating body and market structure. â€œThe Central Bank and our organization have participated in the forum as a regulating body. We aim to discuss the problems and to identify the role of the Central Bank and Banking Education Center in the solving of these problemsâ€.

Representatives of the international organizations and local bank credit organizations spoke about the reasons of global financial crisis and its damages on the world economy. The second part of the forum was held behind the closed doors. Director of the Credit Control Department of the Central Bank Rashad Orujov will report on the subject.
