Mortgage securities market soars by 36% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. 52 transactions on 5 203 156 manats worth of mortgage securities were registered in Azerbaijan duirng January-May 2009, said the State Committee for Securities.

According to statists, the number of deals fell by 8% from a year ago but the amount of mortgage securities increased by 35.8%.

The volume of transactions on bills of exchange dropped by 26 times to 944 480 manats.
Only 3 deals on bills of exchange were registered against 202 deals during he period last year.
