Bank Respublika gets 43% rise in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of May 1, Azerbaijan-based Bank Respublika posted its assets at AZN 392.8 million, up 43% on a year ago.

The bank said loan portfolio increased by 20% to AZN 240.5 million and funds in customer accounts increased by 16.3% to AZN 140.5 million.

Deposits by individuals rose by 9.7% to AZN 85.5 million and deposits by population went up by 19.4% to AZN 72 million.

Revenue for January-April made AZN 22.1 million and expenditures reached AZN 14.97 million. Profit made AZN 7.13 million.

Total equity capital stood at AZN 57 million and authorized capital stock at AZN 22.6 million.

Bank Respublika has been in operation since 1992. DEG Investment Corporation and Sparkassen International Development Trust hold a 25%+1 joint stake.
