Azerbaijani customs officers seize over 90 kg of illicit drugs this year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. More than 90 kilograms of narcotics have been seized at checkpoints since early this year, said Aydin Aliyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee.

â€œGiven that drugs were found in small quantities about 10-15 years ago, the seized quantity is measures by kilograms now. Over 90 kilograms of drugs have been seized since early this year,â€ he added.

He added that 356 kilograms of narcotics were seized in 2008.
