Azerbaijan posts 20% year-on-year rise in per capita income

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. The total income earned by Azerbaijani population during January-March stood at AZN 5 billion, said the State Statistical Committee.
The top body said earnings per capita rose by 19.6% year-on-year to AZN 575.8 for the three months or AZN 191.9 per month on average.
Of this, people used 70.5% for consumption expenses, 10.3% for taxes, social insurance and voluntary membership dues and 19.2% for increasing savings and capitals. The populationâ€™s net income after taxes, compulsory charges and voluntary membership dues stood at AZN 4.5 billion in total, up 22.3% on a year earlier.
