Azerbaijan sees a 56% decline in foreign fixed capital investment

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As against a year ago, foreign fixed capital investment dropped by 55.6% in Azerbaijan during January-March, said the State Statistical Committee.

The top body said the amount of foreign investment in fixed capital reached AZN 254.6 million.
Of this, AZN 235.9 million or 92.7% was made by British, U.S., Japanese, French, Norwegian, and Turkish investors.

Domestic investment in fixed capital accounted for 83.9%, leaving 16.1% for foreign fixed investment in the country.
