Azerbaijan sees 0.7% deflation in March

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. With food prices falling 1.1%, consumer goods and service prices fell by 0.7% in March, as compared to February, said the State Statistical Committee.

The top body said inflation was 8.3%, year-on-year, for January-March.

The committee earlier said month-on-month deflation was 0.8% in February.

In the statement, the top body doesnâ€™t rule out the probability of deflation at the year-end.
