Azerbaijan posts $566 million trade surplus

Baku. Vugar Israfilov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s foreign trade increased by 13.3% year-on-year to $2 418 million during January-February, the country’s minister of economic development told a government meeting.
Shahin Mustafayev said exports rose by 24.6% to $1 492 million while imports dropped by 1%. According to him, the country’s trade surplus reached $566 million which plays a vital part in the stability of foreign exchange reserves and national currency.
