Parex Leasing & Factoring fail to lease in Azerbaijan in 1Q09

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As at April 1, the title subsidiary in Azerbaijan of Latviaâ€™s Parex Leasing & Factoring posted a leasing portfolio at $38.849 million, down 0.5% on a year ago.

The firm said its total equity rose by 32.4% to AZN 395 097 and authorized capital remained unchanged at AZN 40 770.

The number of leasing contracts increased by 30% to 566 and profit jumped 50.3% to AZN 1.156 million.

The company invested AZN 476 000 in Azerbaijan during the first quarter last year but the figure was zero during this period this year.

Parex Leasing & Factoring was registered in Azerbaijan in 2005.
