Ministry of Taxes: No tax inspection in Baku Steel Company

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Taxes denied reports about tax audit in Baku Steel Company, the country’s key steelworks.

Fariz Samadov, Press Secretary to the Minister of Taxes, said no tax audit is under way in Baku Steel Company.

He noted that the audit of financial statements, which are conducted to ensure the tax payment to the state budget, do not hinder the day-to-day operation of an audited company.

â€œEven if there had been tax inspection there, this would not have affected the process of production,â€ he added.

Earlier, Baku Steel Company attributed the delay in resuming operation to tax inspection.
