Andrei Illarionov: Azerbaijan is not affected by the world financial crisis

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan remains affected by global financial crisis, said Andrei Illarionov, a senior fellow at the US-based Cato Institute.
According to him, Azerbaijan enjoyed a 10.8% GDP growth rate in 2008 and expects 8-9% rise for this year.
“A country with such economic performance can’t be though of as a state affected by the global crisis,†he added.
Andrei Illarionov was former Economic Adviser to President Vladimir Putin.
