Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has made technical and wording additions to the rules of application of customs valuation system for goods brought to and taken away from customs territory.
According to the additions, the customs authorities are empowered to verify the validity of documents and declarations provided for customs valuation.
The change is that without the permission of the declarant his data can not be transferred to a third party including government authorities except when there is a judicial decision.
On the basis of a written request of the declarant, the customs agency must provide written explanation on the method of assessing the customs value of goods.
