Azerbaijan sees secondary market exceeding primary market by 4 times

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s securities market totaled AZN 1.88 billion in the first quarter with debt market instruments taking the bulk, said the State Committee for Securities.
The primary market took a share of 18.5%, leaving 81.5% to the secondary market.
National Bank’s notes accounted for 47% of issued securities which amounted to AZN 347.7 million in total.
The secondary market increased 1.7% to AZN 1.536 billion with repo and reverse repo transactions on notes taking an 82.4% share.
