Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Standard Insurance earned AZN 3.007 million in premiums during January-March, down 40% from the same period last year.
The company said payment for insurance claims declined by 21% to AZN 600 120.
Premiusm most came from property insurance (AZN 1.128 million), motor insurance (AZN 467 054) and health insurance (AZN 365 800) while payment for insurance claims most went to health insurance (AZN 315 063) and motor insurance (AZN 277 785).
Premiums from voluntary and compulsory types of insurance reached AZN 2.352 million and AZN 655 338 respectively and payment for insurance claims was AZN 596 551 and AZN 3 569 respectively.
Standard Insurance, as part of AB Standard group, has been in operation since 2002.
It provides 4 compulsory and 20 voluntary types of insurance services.
