Troubled loans grow in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vugar Israfilov– APA-Economics. As of February 1, overdue loans owed to banks and non-bank lending institutions increased by AZN 6.9 million or 3.91% in Azerbaijan, said the National Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to statistics, troubled loans increased by 1.7% from early this year to AZN 183.4 million as at March 1.
The share of overdue loans in the loan portfolio increased to 2.74% from 2.25%.
The increase of non-performing loans exceeds the loan lending rate by 1.8 times.
