Azerbaijan, US sign agreement on co-financing of assistance programs

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan and the United States have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the co-financing of assistance programs.
Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Finance said the document was signed by Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov on behalf of Azerbaijan and USAID Country Coordinator for Azerbaijan Scott Taylor on behalf of the United States.
The memorandum provides for co-financing of Trade and Investment Program, Expenditure Planning And Administration Program, Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Program and Regional Social And Economic Development Program for 2009-2011.
The total budget for these programs is $ 45 million dollars, $24.3 million from the U.S. government, and $20.7 million from Azeri government
