President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine made a visit to the recently liberated town of Izium in Kharkiv region, said the Ukrainian president’s Press Secretary, Serhiy Nikiforov, APA reports citing Ukrinform.
According to the spokesman, while in Izium, Zelensky "took part in the Ukrainian national flag raising ceremony and congratulated liberators."
At the same time, the Sicheslav 25th Separate Airborne Brigade wrote on Facebook that the president was joined in the celebrations on the occasion of flying the Ukrainian flag in Izium by Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar, Army and other forces’ commanders whose units took part in liberating the town from Russian invaders.
