The best guarantee of Ukraine’s security is its entry into NATO, said the President of the country Volodymyr Zelensky, APA reports citing CNN.
According to him, Kyiv has not abandoned “this path” and is striving for NATO.
“No one has yet come up with a better guarantee. We are ready to join any structure that would guarantee us the end of the war and security,” he said.
The Ukrainian leader added that he does not yet see any other security guarantees, except for the North Atlantic Alliance.
He welcomed NATO’s agreement to accept Sweden and Finland into its ranks. Zelensky believes that the same decision regarding Ukraine would help prevent conflict and save the West from the need to provide large-scale assistance to his state.
