"This morning, my colleague, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Tom Berendsen, held comprehensive discussions with President Ilham Aliyev," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated at a joint press conference with Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen, APA reports.
The minister noted that he had held useful discussions with the Dutch Foreign Minister on various aspects of bilateral relations and future areas of activity:
"In recent years, the Azerbaijan-Netherlands dialogue has been developing considerably. High-level contacts are taking place between our countries. Last December, we also had contacts, including telephone conversations. In June this year, political consultations were held between the two countries. Next year, the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands will be marked. We consider the preparation and adoption today of a Roadmap covering all areas of cooperation between the two countries an important step forward."
