During the negotiations between Ukraine, the US and Russia in Geneva, two delegations worked. One of them was a military delegation, the other was a political delegation. On the territorial issue, the three sides had three different positions, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, APA reports.
He noted that representatives of the military delegation discussed the issues of monitoring the ceasefire after the war ended. According to the head of state, there has been some progress.
"Things are more complicated on the political front. Our views are not the same. We have three different positions on the territorial issue. I think it is not easy, but we tried to be very constructive," Zelensky added.
He added that the next meeting of the delegations should be held in Switzerland.
Zelensky also noted that Ukraine continues to support the US view that a ceasefire should first be achieved on the battlefield and only then can issues be resolved diplomatically.
