Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he inked a decree on Monday forbidding officials from traveling abroad for non-governmental purposes, including vacations, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The president said the Cabinet of Ministers is working on updating border-crossing protocols within the next five days so that only legitimate business trips can justify officials leaving Ukraine.

Zelensky stressed that all members of the central government and numerous other tiers of local government must abide by the decree. "It applies to law enforcement officers, people's deputies, prosecutors and all those who are supposed to work for the state and in the state," Zelensky explained.
