Skirmish occur between PKK and Turkish army after a long break

Baku – APA. PKK terrorist organization has today fired on the positions of the Turkish Armed Forces located in Daglica village of Yuksekova district of Hakkari province on the border with Iraq. APA reports that Turkish Armed Forces General Staff has issued an official statement on this issue.

The statement says that PKK terrorists fired artillery shells at the Daglica post of the Turkish army today at 13:25 by local time. The positions of the terrorists firing thrice were determined with special radars and retaliatory fires were opened on them from Firtina 155-mm self-propelled howitzer and 120 mm cannons.

The terrorists started firing from rifles and machine guns at 14:40. The Turkish soldiers opened retaliatory fires.

The Turkish government has started the process of settlement of the “Kurdish” problem in 2009 to stop terrorism in the country. Since then, there is an unofficial ceasefire between the terrorists and Turkish army.
