Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz attended the Türkiye-Pakistan Business and Investment Forum together with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, APA reports.
The forum was held at one of the hotels in Beşiktaş.
Speaking at the event, Cevdet Yılmaz said the parties had gathered not only to review economic cooperation between the two countries, but also to lay the foundation for a new stage of cooperation inspired by a shared history, unshakable friendship, and a common vision for the future.
He noted that Türkiye and Pakistan have deeper ties than ordinary interstate relations based on mutual interests and have repeatedly proven that they are two brotherly nations standing by each other in difficult times.
Cevdet Yılmaz stressed that Pakistan is not only one of South Asia's leading countries: "Pakistan is also a responsible actor that plays a constructive role in regional and global affairs and actively contributes to peace and stability. We highly appreciate Pakistan's constructive diplomacy in reducing tensions in the Middle East in recent months and its role as a mediator between the United States and Iran."
