Abdullah Gul: â€œThose who are ruling the country should pay attention to different ideas and concernsâ€

Baku – APA. Turkish President Abdullah Gul made â€‹â€‹a statement on the events in the country, APA reports. Abdullah Gul’s written statement says:

“Different ideas, emergence of various approaches to important issues are very natural in Turkey that believes in democracy, pluralism and the rule of law and intends to cover more distance in this regard. This is the greatest wealth of a democratic society. The main issue is to hold discussions in a civilized manner, be open to dialogue and consider different positions. Protests should be expressed quietly according to the rules in a democratic society and those who are ruling the country should pay attention to different ideas and concerns. We should be cautious to put an end to ongoing events in Taksim that have become disturbing since yesterday. Security forces should be more sensitive, act adequately while intervening in protests and avoid the emergence of emergence of distressing images. I told it to the Prime Minister and other authorized persons this morning. I believe that everyone will do their part to ensure peace and solve the problem through discussions.”
