Ukrainian's military intelligence service says it has obtained information that explosives have been planted at infrastructure facilities in rebel-held Donetsk, APA reports citing BBC.
The explosives appear to have been placed in preparation for a false flag attack which will be blamed on Ukraine.
"These measures are designed to destabilise the situation in the temporarily occupied areas of our country and create a reason to accuse Ukraine of committing terrorist acts," the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate said on Twitter.
It urges Donetsk residents not to leave their homes or use public transport.
US officials have repeatedly warned that Russia may conduct a false flag operation to give it a pretext to launch a military operation in Ukraine.
