Turkish authorities started investigations regarding the collapsed buildings in Kahramanmaraş, APA reports citing Turkish press.
Kahramanmaraş General Prosecutor's Office has announced that investigations have been initiated immediately and without delay into the buildings that collapsed after the earthquakes in the city. The technical expert commissions were appointed in this regard. Samples have already been taken from the area.
"Correspondence has been conducted with the relevant institutions regarding the identification of the responsible persons who undertook the construction of the buildings and subsequently made changes in such a way as to lead to the collapse of the buildings without complying with the construction norms. The necessary precautionary situations regarding those persons have been assessed, and the investigation is conducted comprehensively and in all details considering the sensitivity of the issue," - the information states.
