Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan touched on the issue of Kirkuk in his interview with journalists regarding his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 4 in Sochi, APA reports.
Erdogan said that any event that will happen in Kirkuk means a violation of the territorial integrity of Iraq.
"Kirkuk, the Turkmen homeland, has been a geography where different cultures have lived together for hundreds of years. We will not allow the peace and integrity of this geography to be violated," he added.
