Sweden plans to use Gripen fighter jets in its defense, as the process of applying for NATO membership has not yet been completed, said Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, APA reports citing The Guardian.
"We will do our best to support them with aviation as well. But so far, there are no new commitments to provide Ukraine with Swedish aircraft," Kristersson said.
Nevertheless, the possibility of providing Ukraine with fighter jets in the future is not excluded.
On August 19, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian pilots had begun training on these aircraft.
