Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has ordered the suspension of diesel fuel exports to Ukraine, APA reports citing the information published on the official website of the Slovak government.
The suspension of oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline was mentioned as the reason.
At the same time, the Prime Minister proposed that a group of experts inspect on site the damaged section of the Druzhba pipeline in Ukraine’s Lviv region.
Fico stated that Ukraine has so far provided no information regarding the incident, and therefore, the Slovak ambassador has contacted Kyiv to clarify the situation.
Note that Hungary also halted diesel supplies to Ukraine earlier today.
