Serbia intends to purchase Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Turkey, said Aleksandar Vucic said Serbian President after the results of the "Fire Shield" exercise, APA reports citing TASS.
"We will strengthen our aviation. We will also increase the number of drones. "Two days ago, in a conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, I said we wanted to buy Bayraktar," Vucic said.
The Serbian army's "Fire Shield " exercises ended on Saturday at the Pasulyanske-Livade landfill.
More than 1,000 servicemen, including Land Forces, Air and Air Defense Units, the 72nd Special Forces Brigade and the 63rd Airborne Brigade, took part in the maneuvers.
