Moscow has yet to retire its plans to take control over Mariupol, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The strategically important port on the Sea of Azov has been under siege by Russia since the country launched its military operation in Ukraine on February 24. It is the focal point of some of the most devastating military clashes, as Ukrainian forces continue their efforts to stop Moscow from gaining control over the city.
According to the announcement, Russia is also proceeding with a partial blockade on the city of Kharkiv.
